Mental Health First Aid Certification - In-Person
Our MHFA certification course—the first of its kind in the country—equips participants to become true first responders for mental health. It teaches clear, practical steps to recognize when someone is struggling, respond with confidence, and provide immediate support until professional help is available.
Learning outcomes include:
- Increased awareness of mental health
- Improved confidence to provide help
- Decreased mental health-related stigma
- Self-care strategies
- Identifying warning signs of suicide
Method of Instruction
This fully facilitated, in-person course spans two immersive days (7.5 hours each), offering dynamic activities, practical scenarios, and expert guidance. Participants gain hands-on skills in a collaborative setting designed to keep learning engaging, interactive, and immediately useful.
Upon course completion, registrants receive a Certificate of Completion from the Mental Health Commission of Canada, which is valid for 3 years.
