Mental Health First Aid: Supporting Youth

Mental Health First Aid: Supporting Youth is a training designed to help you provide initial support to a young person showing signs of declining mental well-being or is in crisis. It is designated for members of the public who have frequent contact with young people (ages 12-24).

This course will teach you how to:

Method of Instruction

This 10-hour in-person training opportunity is a combination of self-directed learning (Module 1: Two hours) and facilitator- instructed learning (Module 2 and 3: Four hours each). Course participants are required to complete Module 1 before participating in Module 2 and 3. 

Participant Outcomes

Upon course completion, registrants receive a Certificate of Completion from the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
