Creating Communities of Hope
Creating Communities of Hope is a two-hour interactive training that aims to explore the fundamental principles of mental health and create confident mental health allies to support those who may be struggling.
Topics Include:
- Mental health concepts and key terms
- Signs of declining mental well-being
- Introduction to the conversation guide
- Effective listening strategies
- Impact of stigma on mental wellness
- Community resources
Participant Outcomes:
- Increased awareness of signs and symptoms of common mental health problems
- Decreased stigma related to mental health
- Increased confidence in supporting individuals experiencing a mental health problem or crisis
- Increased awareness of mental health resources in their community
